The exhibition will be open until August 23rd.
The Media Mediterranea 20 Festival continues on the 17th and 18th of August in Titov Park where audiences will have the opportunity to watch new media installations and enjoy the music-gastronomic Picnic soundtrack. Also in the park, there will be organized a children’s program, Mini Mediterranea, where the youngest during the workshop will also have the opportunity to express themselves and have fun.
Media Mediterranea Festival has been held since 1999. The program focuses on the field of new media and technology. The main aim is promoting innovative and interdisciplinary art practices and affirmation of young and talented authors. Every year the festival is evolving in accordance with social news, focusing on topics and highlighting problems of intermediate art and the latest technologies.
For the first five years of its existence, the festival focused on electronic music, visual installations and the open-air concept of free culture. The next five years festival focused on workshops, networking at the national level, and a multidisciplinary approach on culture and civil society.
In the third “Fifth”, the focus of the festival was on advocacy activities (cultural policies, ex-military zones, architecture and independent culture) and artists, urban and hip-hop culture. In the last five years, the focus of the festival is contemporary art in the public space, the popularization of novel art, international authors ‘and curators’ visits, and a competition for young artists – Zlatna lubenica.
