MI+ platform
MI+ is an open platform for the development of contemporary media culture in Istria. The organizations involved in the platform’s work are: Labin Art Express, Sonitus, Faro 11, Muzej – Museo Lapidarium, Association of Architects in Istria – DAI SAI, Istrian Cultural Agency IKA-ACI, and Metamedia association.
The platform is focused on advocating the formation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of cultural policies regarding the development of non-institutional organizations, with a focus on contemporary and innovative art practices. MI+ is a continuation of the work done within the previous MP3 platform, which under the new name aims to establish a formal network of associations. In addition to the advocacy activities, we organize artistic residencies, and develop programme collaborations as well as educational activities for our audiences, mainly focusing on children and youth. We also work on capacity development of our member organizations.
