Metamedij participated in the organisation of the ORACLE Cultural Network Annual Meeting in Zagreb
Representatives of Metamedij participated in the organisation and implementation of the annual gathering of the international Oracle Cultural Network, held in Zagreb from April 23 to 25, 2026, under the title: “Culture, Public Space & Democracy in Times of Disruption”.
The programme brought together cultural workers, organisations, researchers and experts from several European countries with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences related to contemporary cultural policies, international cooperation, public space and the role of culture in times of social and political change.
Parts of the programme were organised in collaboration with: Institute for Development and International Relations; POGON – Zagreb Center for Independent Culture and Youth; Multimedia Institute and Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb.
The three-day programme included panels, workshops, public discussions and study visits focusing on cultural democracy, international cultural cooperation, participatory cultural governance models and the relationship between culture and public space.
Marino Jurcan from Metamedij participated in the organisational coordination of the programme in his role as Secretary of the ORACLE Cultural Network, as well as in programme documentation, reporting and moderation of selected programme segments.
Participation in the programme forms part of Metamedij’s ongoing development of international partnerships and knowledge exchange in the fields of contemporary culture, cultural policy and international cooperation.
